Museum Association

The USS Franklin Museum Association is in honor of the sailors and Marines that have stood the watch,  defending the American way.  We of the Franklin, unfortunately, no longer have our ship, only memories.  All of the ship's company, air groups and staff are eligible for membership, including family members.

The Association currently holds a reunion, every year for its members.  The Association was founded by Robert St. Peters of Alton, IL., served on the Franklin in E-Division.

As a member of the Franklin Museum Association, you will be eligible not only to attend reunions, but also to receive the Association newsletter, which is published quarterly, and a Membership Card.  Our dues, the largest part of which goes into the publishing and mailing of our newsletter, are $10.00 per year.

Currently the Association maintains exhibits on the USS Yorktown Museum at Patriot's Point, SC, on the USS Hornet Museum at Alameda, CA, and in the process of developing an exhibit on the USS Midway in San Diego, CA.

We are looking for all the Sailors and Marines that served on the USS Franklin (1943 - 1946), and their families, to become members of our association.  Come join our ranks and share in the association that only shipmates that were there, can!
